Tibia has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From watching my older brother play as a kid to forging my own adventures, the game has shaped countless memories. Over the years, I’ve played, taken breaks, and returned—but this time, I’m here to stay. Red Rose represents more than just a guild; it’s a home within Tibia, and I’d be honored to be part of it. This is my journey
1. Character/Player Information
I was first introduced to Tibia as a six- or seven-year-old in Stockholm, Sweden, by my older brother, who was five years ahead of me. To me, he was the ultimate Tibian hero—an unbelievably high-leveled player, or so I thought, at level 70 as a royal paladin.
I idolized him, watching as he bravely took on the Orc Fortress with his crossbow and bolts or ventured into Kazordoon's mines to hunt dwarves when profit mattered more than experience. I would peek through his slightly open door as he joined the war between Dark Side and the Alliance. Meanwhile, I was struggling to get out of Rookgaard, only to realize I had picked the wrong outfit and had to restart my character—because choosing the right shoe color was a top priority back then. I had no idea you could change it after logging in for the first time, so naturally, the only solution was to start over from scratch.
I still remember being starstruck when I saw Bubble pass by in the Plains of Havoc (how I got there on a level 9 knight with a mace is still a mystery). Or how I nervously approached Toldo for a piece of food, trying to act casual—only to be overjoyed when he handed me two fresh, delicious hams outside his house, Lower Swamp Lane 3, in Thais. I stood there next to him for hours, way past my bedtime, convinced I had made a friend for life. The next day, though, Toldo seemed to have no memory of our dinner together.
Eventually, I moved to Elysia, following my brother and his real-life friends, who were part of the leading guild We Run It—a tight-knit group of Swedish players from northern Stockholm. This is where I truly learned Tibia, making lasting friendships and memories. Even though I never officially joined We Run It, I always felt part of something special.
These were also the days when botting started changing the game, turning Tibia into a factory of secondary characters farming gold in Banuta, Tyrsung, and Peg Leg. It was around this time that I retired from active play, though I still followed updates and major releases. But without playing, my interest faded, and Tibia slowly became a distant memory.
At 20, in 2014, I joined the military. With long weeks away and several days off at a time, I found myself returning to Tibia. The introduction of BattlEye and the launch of a Retro-PVP server made it the perfect opportunity.
I created a new paladin, Neytery, alongside my oldest Tibian and real-life friend, Koppen. Although I’ve played all vocations, I always come back to paladin. There’s something special about the simplicity of a bow and arrow—keeping enemies at bay and landing precise shots is a thrill I never get tired of.
Over the years, I joined different guilds, tackled major quests like Demon Oak, and finally stepped into hunting grounds I had only dreamed of as a kid, like Demona. But, as with many newly launched servers, the population declined, and it became lonely playing on an empty world. That’s when I decided to transfer to Antica, back to where it all started.
I played actively for a few years until life caught up with me—I left the military, moved to a new city for university, and had to pack away my PC. In early 2019, in a cramped 19-square-meter dorm room, I reluctantly retired my bow once again.
Now, six years later, I'm back, and just as eager as ever to embark on new adventures. Tibia is truly one of a kind—there’s nothing quite like it, and I doubt there ever will be. But as I return this time, I realize that the game itself is only part of the journey. When I was younger, it was all about the thrill of leveling up, unlocking new hunts, and chasing legendary items. Now, I find that what truly matters is the people—the friendships, the stories, and the sense of belonging that makes Tibia more than just a game.
This time, I’m not just looking for adventure—I’m looking for a home. A place where I can share experiences, contribute to something greater, and forge bonds that will last. I no longer see myself as just another traveler passing through; I’m here to stay, to grow alongside others, and to build something meaningful. I'm ready to grow old as a Red Rose.
When Looking Back, I’d Divide My Tibian Career into Four Eras:
1. Breaking bread with Toldo in Thais.
2. Being a hang-around to We Run It on Elysia and breaking level 100 for the first time.
3. Hunting demons for a living and acquiring the legendary Demon Legs.
4. Returning to Tibia at 30, feeling the same excitement as when I first saw Bubble at six.
2. Why do you want to join Red Rose?
Joining Red Rose is more than just becoming part of a guild—it’s about stepping into a legacy that has shaped Tibia itself. Throughout my years in the game, I’ve always admired Red Rose, not just for its history and longevity, but for its commitment to friendship, community, and perseverance. These values resonate deeply with me.
I've encountered members of Red Rose throughout my Tibian journey, and every interaction reinforced the same impression—this is a guild that stands for something greater than just a name or a tag. It represents a true home in Tibia.
Now, as a returning player, I find myself drawn back to familiar landscapes and cherished memories. But this time, I don’t just want to experience Tibia—I want to be part of something meaningful, something built on camaraderie and shared adventures. I believe Red Rose is the perfect place for that, and I would be honored to contribute to its legacy.
3. Roleplaying Story
The Tale of Sir Alden, the Aspiring Knight
In the bustling city of Thais, where cobblestone streets wove through lively markets and towering guild halls, lived a humble knight named Sir Alden. Though not yet a hero of legend, he carried the heart of one, venturing daily into the Fibula Dungeon with his trusty mace.
The damp air and eerie cries of creatures within did not deter him. Every rotworm defeated, every skeleton slain, brought him closer to his dream—a life where he could provide for his family and forge his own path.
Each night, weary but proud, Alden returned to Thais, his coin pouch a little heavier. But before heading home, he always made his way to the grand Red Rose Guildhall, standing silently in admiration. He watched from the shadows as its members returned from their hunts, their laughter and camaraderie filling the evening air. To him, they were the true legends of Tibia.
Before leaving, Alden had one final stop. Instead of heading straight home, he made his way south, toward the quiet shores of Southern Fibula. There, as always, sat Simon the Beggar, gazing out at the waves. Most travelers paid him no mind, passing by without a second glance, but Alden never did.
Approaching the old man, Alden reached into his pouch and placed a few gold coins into Simon’s calloused hands. Simon looked up, his voice carrying the familiar words Alden had heard many times before: "I have no gold and no job, so I am a beggar.” Alden offered him a nod and a faint smile. "Then take this, old friend. A knight must look after those in need"
Simon said nothing more, simply closing his fingers around the coins as Alden turned to leave.
As the stars twinkled above, Alden would finally turn toward home. He knew he was still just a simple knight, far from achieving his grand dreams. Yet, as he offered what little he could to Simon and looked out over the quiet shores of Fibula, a sense of purpose filled him. The act of helping those in need, of standing for something greater than himself, made him feel—if only for a moment—like a Red Rose. A guild known not just for its strength in battle, but for its kindness, its unwavering principles, and the courage to do what is right.
With that thought, he walked on, ready to face whatever challenges the next day would bring.
For every great legend begins somewhere, and Alden's journey had only just begun.

Re: Neytery's application
What a great read! I know the feeling of stepping up to a high lvl player back in 2002, thinking that our minor interaction had a deeper meaning.
See you in Tibia.

Knowing Toldo IRL for many years I can assure you that he enjoyed the evening with you. He has always been a kind-hearted fellow (even though he had his thorn sometimes in-game
