Some of my hobbies include Board games, Magic: The Gathering, karaoke, and of course gaming!
I seek to join the Red Rose mainly because I've really enjoyed myself at the hangouts, and I often speak to Red Rose members in general (I even married one in-game!). Secondly, the guild I am currently in (above) is sadly extremely inactive, even with numbers online and with 880ish players on the roster. I believe the Red Rose is right for me, as I enjoy the old way of playing Tibia. Namely, to spend time around people in houses, cities and during events, as well as the occasional hunt and/or boss ventures. Finally, I do believe I could contribute in several ways. I was considering starting a bi-weekly event (at first) where people who are interested can play and learn board games together on Tabletop Simulator (a game on Steam with virtually endless possibilities with regard to board games). Where people can chat and get to know each other over Discord while playing (Discord is not a requirement). I relish the thought of being challenged during my noviciumship. It is always fun to set forth a challenge and strive to complete it! Perhaps we can even start bossing teams on the regular in Tibia
Condensation billowed off the lone surviving Viking warrior. His comrades lay strewn all around him, painting the svargrondian snow red, brown and yellow. The Invaders hailing from Carlin had crossed the vast seas in a cowardly surprise attack. The surviving warriors from Carlin now closed in on the lone Viking, intent on ending the bloodshed. Far from being cowed, the lone Viking stood firm. A young warrior who had just lost his father, Brandur, and his mother, the shieldmaiden Svínhilda, at his side minutes ago advanced on the enemy Vanguard, His sword hammering his shield, striking terror into the invaders' hearts. The svargrondian villagers witnessed as the lone Viking reaped the souls of his enemies, his blood rage enhancing his endurance and power. His shield rumbling like thunder as he caved in the heads of his fallen foes always advancing, his sword hammering against his shield when not ripping the life from his foes. The Lone Viking was thereafter known as Zesar Thundershield. He was hailed to much acclaim in svargrond after the carlin scum retreated onto their boats, never to return again. From the mist of the cold morning, Zesar spoke. I hereby vow that I shall lay all of Carlin to waste. No stone shall touch another as I dismantle their houses. their castle and their docks. Their queen will return to her husband, Tibianus, with the tale of what befalls those who challenge the might of Svargrond. I DO SO SWEAR!
I feel that I am quite ready for Noviciumship, having been in some guilds/corporations(EVE Online) for well over ten years. I usually don't leave a guild once I join them (a bit ironic considering I'll be leaving Above, I know). I don't mind the length of Noviciumship as I really enjoy spending time with the people in the Red Rose. I am extremely interested in committing to the guild, as I am excited for the challenges it will bring and the continued good company! I am happy to complete tasks, although I ask your forbearance regarding roleplay, as my not-so-incredible writing above attests to. It is not something I am used to. But I am always keen to learn! Working in research, I am quite used to completing assigned tasks within the given time limit, but please do bear in mind that I will at times be at sea for extended periods.
I would really love to spend time with you all in-game and on other games (for example, tabletop simulator?). I might even consider coming to one of the RL meetups one year!
Thank you ever so much for your consideration! No hard feelings if I am not a fit! I'll still be around the guild hall now and then and attend the hangouts!
Take care
Kind regards
Zesar Thundershield
