Avelaine's Application [Withdrawn]

She walks out from the forest and feels the breeze running through her hair while the grass brushes against her soft bare feet. The wind calmed her face and dried the last few tear drops she had before gently wiping them off with her hands. There she looks across the dawn filled horizon from a small hill and continued to wander off to the strange and foreign ground. The morning dew cooled her scuffed feet for she had journeyed a fair distance from home.
"You've anticipated this for some time, there is no turning back" - was what she had been reiterating to herself from the second she took one last step way from what was familiar to her. She never looked back once, not even for a last farewell. The resentment she had for that place was unspeakable even till this day.
Avelaine worked as a slave ever since she could remember. Her duties were mostly to clean and occasionally hunt with her bow and arrow - a gift that was left by her father, the only possession that her owner allowed her to keep in order to bring meat to the table. There were limitations to how she could live for she was bound to a woman who found joy in torturing her for what seemed like eternity. She was kept physically weak so she couldn't fight back. She didn't have companions, for her owner kept her hidden most of the time to hide the inhumane crimes that were committed against her. The only time she was allowed outside was under surveillance at night, when everyone else in the village would be resting in their beds.
Despite her owner's effort in hiding Avelaine's existence, she was being watched. She was being watched every time she went hunting for rabbits for rabbit stew preparation. She was being watched every time she scrubbed and hung the clothes to dry at night. She had a mystery companion, one you would not know to mean good or harm.
In one particular night, the moon shone brighter than any other night. The clouds were slowly dissipating from the storm earlier in the day. Tomorrow was going to be rabbit stew night, so Avelaine packed her bow and arrows to set foot into the forest with a guard strictly watching her from her back. Tonight was especially going to be a memorable night, thought the guard - a little drunk from his earlier engagement with a few mates at the village tavern. As Avelaine stops to load her bow with an arrow at the sight of a rabbit, the guard grabs her from behind, one hand around her mouth and the other around her waist, locking her in his grip. She was weak and couldn't fight him off, but she gave it all her might to kick and hit anything she could but could no longer hold on to her bow. He threw her to the ground and made her face him as he tried to mount her.
<pew>
In one split moment, the guard was lying on top of her, dead with an arrow through his head. Drenched in his blood and feeling anguish from this traumatic event, Avelaine pushed the guard off of her and heard a distant male voice yelling "RUN!” He only said it once, but she only had to hear it once to know what she needed to do. Hastily, Avelaine picked up her bow and remaining arrows that she could reach on the ground and ran opposite from her prison. The moon was lighting her path and all she did was run for the remaining night. Her direction was unclear, her mission was not yet determined, all she had started with... was taste a bit of freedom.
For as cruel as she had endured in the past, Avelaine is prepared to face more that would come her way in the future.

I came to this world with only a bow and arrow, and I will leave it with just that. What matters in this present moment is the journey that I could hopefully experience with the pleasure being by the side of the Red Rose.
Thank you for your time and I hope you take me into consideration.
Avelaine.
