A Fibula tale...

Late one afternoon, I was going back to my home in Fibula. The light was starting to do down, and shadows were starting to approach. It was a warm day, and as I was sitting on my kitchen drinking a cup of the best Fibulan wine, I decided to take a walk through the island. Oh, how beauty it was! The view of the town on the halflight was incredible, some light coming from outside the windows of the houses, the Mercenary tower rising up to the sky, the guildhouse of the Red Rose standing there quiet and lonely... I walked a bit around, and started to leave the town, then I took a little way behind the guildhouse of the Red Rose, since I knew this leaded me to a beautiful and lonely place.
I decided to sit for a bit on the grass and stared into the sea. Some distant ships were slightly visible on the horizon.

I was falling into a trance, when I noticed something moving near me. I recognized silhouette of a woman, kneeling down and touching the water, but I couldn?t recognize her, as the darkness of the night was almost there.
I walked to the silhouette and then I recognized a young woman of an incredible beauty, picking small rocks from the water, and keeping them on her basket.

- Hello there! <I said to her>
- Hello! <She replied with a shy voice while she stood up and walked in front of me>
I told her,
- You have taken me by surprise, I thought I was alone here!
- I haven?t seen you also.. until now! I have been collecting stones and sea shells all day around here, take a look on my basket. <She dried her hands on her dress and combed her hair a bit>

I looked into her basket and she had some fruits, and indeed a great bunch of stones of very exotic and different colors.
I was curious about this stones and asked her what did she do with all them. She told me that she came from very far away lands, where it?s believed that in the depths of the sea, the most immense power and beauty is hidden. She decorated shields and weapons with all this.
We talked a bit, and I helped her to collect some more
The light was almost gone, so I walked with her back to the town, and there we sat on the little bar, next to Dermont?s office. We talked about the faraway lands where she was born and it?s traditions all night long.
When the morning light was almost approaching, she asked me if I could take her to the Thaian boat. She was just a village girl, not used to fight the roaming beasts that live on the way from the island of Fibula and the city of Thais. She was soft and strong as a rose, and I was already loving her.
I took my sword and carried her basket, then we walked with her to the boat. I said goodbye, and asked her to visit me on my tower next week as she was coming to Fibula to collect more stones.
A few days passed and I kept my researches trying to make my magic as a Paladin much stronger as usual, and one morning, I received a letter from her.

?Dear Rob, I will be coming to Thais today and make my way to Fibula to collect some more stones and shells from the seas. Maybe we can spend some time together, I will be at the boat at... ?

I prepared some food, and a bottle of the best Fibulan wine on the tablecloth. I was sitting on my kitchen when she knocked the door.

We spent a wonderful day together, we had a picnic in the grass and collected beautiful stones that the sea brought to the coasts. We spent the afternoon walking around the village, and when the night came we were drinking wine on the balcony outside of Dermont?s room, next to my house. We had so many drinks that she felt asleep, and I took her to my tower and let her rest on my bed.
I woke up early that morning and she was still sleeping. She looked so beauty with all her hair on her face.
I decided to slay some dragons, deep underground in Fibula dungeon, so I could get some dragon hams for lunch. I left her a note right next to the bed.

I entered the dark dungeon and slayed many of this beasts. I had a big bag filled with dragon hams that was going to be the yummy lunch, and I started heading out of the cave, when I heard a soft voice calling my name. Rob?

I saw her standing there at the entrance of the cave, and I went to her.

- Look all this ham! I will prepare a great lunch for us! <I opened the bag and showed her all that dragon ham>
- Rob, I need to tell you something <she said with a worried voice>
- <A bit scared I asked her to tell me>
- I love you <she said>

I was so amazed and happy that I couldn?t pronounce the words to answer her how much I loved her also.
Right in that moment, I heard some sounds behind me.

- Rob!
She yelled, and as I looked back, I saw two dragons and two fiery dragon lords coming to us. I ran in front of them and yelled to her:

- Run!!

I battled all this four beasts with a lot of effort, and they were killing me. I remembered then about my magic researches, and automatically, as I absorbed energy from the burning ground I yelled: EXEVO GRAN MAS SAN......
And an insane explosion of holy light raised from the very depths of the divine elements of the nature, all around me. Three of the dragons perished with this explosion, and one of them decided to run away in pain. I ran behind the beast and finished with it?s life.
I came back looking for her, and I saw her lying on the ground, mortally injured. She didn?t run away, she just stood by my side, and the explosion of light stroke her soft body.

"I love you too" I cried on her ear.
