The Queen of the Banshees

I just came to remind you of those little mysteries that make Tibia so special and that some of them remain undiscovered. It is essential to explore the old corners of the game and observe the surroundings, the items that make up the rooms with small details or read those books that were once written with effort. Here we will not discover anything that old players do not know.
But I thought it would be fun to take a walk through the libraries of Tibia and highlight some of those books.
Today I will focus on The Queen of the Banshees and her possible connection with the Blue Djinns, it is surely one of the most moving stories in Tibia.
At first I would like to clarify what a Banshee is (in the lore of Tibia), this will serve for future posts that I have in mind:
In Tibia, a banshee is a beautiful woman who has been betrayed and committed suicide, but death did not accept her sacrifice and sent her back. And now knowing this, let's begin.
On the third shelf of the Serpentine Tower, we will find the following book with a beautiful story:
https://tibia.fandom.com/wiki/The_Lost_Garden_(Book)
“The lost garden
Princess Maharuh was said to be the kindest creature that ever walked the earth. She was dearly loved both by her people and by the djinns. One day as the princess wept because of all the pain and the evil ways of the world the djinns came to comfort her. And since they loved her so much they called upon their powers to grow a garden of magnificent beauty. From now on, Maharuh visited her enchanted garden whenever she was sad, and she never went there but a smile came to her face, and she found new strength to continue her work with renewed vigour and inspiration. But humans grow old and weary, and time did not fail to do its cruel work on fair Princess Maharuh. As she grew old her visits to the garden became less and less frequent and one day when she laid down to rest underneath her favourite tree she never woke up again. The garden was perhaps the most valuable thing she left behind, and it was certainly the one she had held dearest while still alive. But her people did not share her love for nature's beauty, and all they saw was a splendid example of horticulture that could be turned into money. Soon after her death a merchant caravan came, and the strangers offered great sums for the garden and for all that belonged to it. They dug out the trees and took the fruit because they believed they could rebuild the garden in their native land. However, soon after the caravan had left the city a terrible sandstorm arose. After the storm had cleared the caravan was gone and with it all that was left of the garden.”
It tells us about Princess Maharu and that she was very loved by the Djinns. One day, seeing her so sad, they decided to create a wonderful garden. She visited it every day and forgot her sorrows.
Until, over the years, she grew old. One day, after walking through the garden, the princess lay down in a tree and never woke up again.
Could we find that garden in Tibia today, guided by the references given in the book?
Let's travel to Ghostland. We find certain details that allow us to link that princess with this place. One of them is that this place seems like an illusory representation of what Ghostland's past once was. It wasn't always a place full of insects and rotting trees. We can see that one day it was a beautiful garden with very lively flowers and trees.

This place seems to reflect an illusion, perhaps of a woman's suicide or the murder of a man by her. What is striking is that it is next to a tree, as described by the death of Princess Maharu, and near the grave that we left at the end of the banshee mission.

It may all be simple coincidences, but let's talk to The Queen Of The Banshees, let's see what she tells us:
https://talesoftibia.com/npsearch/?l=Ca ... e_Banshees
The Queen of the Banshees: Listen... there are no flowers thought of down here and the only smell present is that of death and breakdown.
The Banshee Queen: I wish I could breathe the lovely scent of beautiful flowers just once more, especially those grown by elves. ...
Also, at least one more dialogue was added to the Banshee Queen on this topic:
Player: Sacred orchids.
The Queen of the Banshees: The smell of these flowers... ahh, it brings back memories.
The smell of the flowers brings back memories, it seems that there is a connection with this Banshee and the flowers when she was human. So going back to the book of Princess Maharu, we can see several references that give us to understand that The Queen of the Banshees and Princess Maharu are the same person.
In the book they tell us that the princess was very close to the Djinns, and that there was a reason that gave her strength to continue with her work. What reason would there be? Was there something else in that garden to visit it every day? What if she was hiding something? A son perhaps?
Why do I say this? If we go to the Blue Djinn fortress, we will find a human NPC, Djema.
She is the librarian and was adopted by the Djinns when her parents died, she gets excited every time she sees another human. Interestingly, her name comes from an ancient language, meaning "Moon Flower" and the Djinns love her very much.
Did they love Princess Maharu so much that the Djinns decided to adopt her daughter to take care of her and protect her? Probably yes.
Perhaps the following image has nothing to do with it, but in Ghostland we find the following illusion, it may be that Princess Maharu is also the Ghostly Woman and we are recreated moments before her death.
Let's remember this: A banshee is a beautiful woman who has been betrayed and committed suicide.
A curiosity, when Cipsoft presented Ankrahmunt, they posted the following image:

It had the following file name Sorcerer&Djinn, over time it was replaced by Djinn, if you notice, the sorcerer is dressed in the same colors as Djema, even the hair color, you have to keep in mind that when they introduced Ankrahmunt, the sorcerer outfit did not yet exist. Why would they introduce us to Djema if she is a simple librarian?

There is something else with The Queen of Banshees, when you say goodbye to her, The Queen of the Banshees tells you the following phrase:
The Queen Of The Banshees: We will meet again, Player.
It may be that there is a dialogue that we have not been able to open, a mission that we do not know how to access or a simple quest that we left behind at the time because we did not pay attention to it.
We will try to give more color to this mystery in the following posts.
